More People Are Curious Than Ever Before
Politics By Faith, November 20, 2025
November 20, 2025

I love the reaction Jillian Michaels has to the truth of Jesus' existence. So many people think that Jesus didn't even exist, that he was like the Tooth Fairy. But when people hear the truth, what a joy to see the scales fall from their eyes.

Welcome to Politics by Faith. Thanks for being here. Someone asked me yesterday or two days ago. So what are you doing for Thanksgiving? And I said, Oh, I don't know.

What are you like?

What are you doing for the Fourth of July Thanksgiving? It's like forever away. You're talking about it's a week away.

So I say that here because in the next couple of days, our episodes, we will have a celebration of the Puritans and our pilgrims, my favorite people. Oh, love the pilgrims. I can't speak enough about the Pilgrims. They're the best. They're just the best. And I will prove it over the next few days when we do a humble attempt to celebrate these amazing people.

This is our heritage. These Pilgrims are our heritage. It is a crime, purposeful, to disconnect us from these people who founded this country. These are our true founders. We talk about our founding fathers. These are our founding grandfathers.

They did incredible things and for all the right reasons. So we'll talk about them in the days to come. I want to share this here, including the preacher, the main preacher of the church, these Puritans, because the Puritans, they started in England, of course, but then they went to Amsterdam for 12 years and things didn't go well there. We'll talk about why next time. And when they went to England, or when they went to New England, there was a sermon that the preacher gave from the boat about Ezra 821.

So we'll talk about that.

But I want to play this instead, and maybe this can be encouraging to you before we go into Thanksgiving gatherings. This is a video of Jillian Michaels and Victor Davis Hanson. That's a fun video, and I don't know how much you can tell it from listening to it. But Jillian Michaels, who, by the way, is married, married to a woman, she's been going out with him. conservative kind of awakening. How shocked she is as VDH goes into the historical confirmation of Jesus outside of the Bible itself.

And Jillian Michaels is blown away. She's never heard this stuff before, can't believe that this was true, but also loves it at the same time.

Jesus the Magician was written by a scholar at Columbia that showed that, I don't necessarily agree with his thesis, but there were a lot of people that were traveling magicians, and Christ was the best one, and that also bothered the Romans, and he was able to create mass populist Sermon on the Mount stuff. And then the message, you've got to remember that the message...

I thought we didn't even know this guy. This is going to infuriate people, and I'm so sorry, and I stay out of it. But I thought we weren't even really sure whether or not Jesus existed, and the apostles wrote this stuff hundreds of years later.

No, no, the Romans knew. We have Roman documents completely separate from religion that he was a magnetic, he was a romantic, wonderful person to the people who knew him and he had staged a revolution and that that presented a problem in this troublesome Province and how the Romans ran Judea as they ran everything they had client Kings Herod So they would go to the Jews or the Gaul anybody and say you're going to be the regent here This is the protocol. We have Roman legions to keep you in line, but we want this and it's basically a question of taxes control and in exchange for that we give you roads and aqueducts and habeas corpus and Civilization and that was a deal.

So the way by the way that we go into the developing world.

Yes, and so there were Regent Kings and then you always had a provincial Roman official, like Pilate, who had a temporary, you know, assignment, and he was the ultimate judge. So, his whole point was, I don't want to get into this stuff between this new offshoot of Judaism called Christianity, and this guy Jesus and the Orthodox, but I do know, I don't know what he did, but I know that it's troublesome. Both, he's got a new religion, and unfortunately it's turned the other cheek. Brotherhood of man, blessed are the meek, blessed are the poor. That's not Roman.

We have a Roman military ethos, that the strong inherit the earth, and if an enemy offends you, you hit him twice. And this guy is preaching something very different. And oh, by the way, the local Orthodoxy doesn't like him either. So we'll just wash my hands of it and say, how do we kill two birds with one stone, i . e. not have them angry at us so that and not have this revolutionary new sect, so what we'll do is, we'll get Pilate and he'll say, well, I washed my hands of it, but since these guys think he's guilty, I'll let him kill him, and then we'll blame them.

But at the same time, with the Apostles and the next two generations, they were being killed systematically in Rome by Romans that had nothing to do with Jews.

Right, right.

Yeah, so when anybody says that the Jews killed kill Jesus, it's more like the Romans wanted a quiet province and they did not like Jesus and what he represented was anti -Roman. It was a popular revolt they thought could happen. And there was an orthodoxy that they had come to terms with and used them to keep the peace. So they said basically, well, in Judaism, in Judea, the Jewish establishment, the religious establishment doesn't like him any more than we do. So we can get rid of him and then say the Pharisees basically did it.

This is so wild. I'm sorry, I know it's not wild for people who know this information, but I genuinely thought, okay, the Jews had the Old Testament, the Torah, and then maybe there was this guy Jesus. The apostles wrote stuff, but the first guy who wrote something was like, you know, 90 or so years later. We think maybe there's some Dead Sea Scrolls, kind of mentioned this guy Jesus, but then constantly had a, what, the Council of Nicaea or something like that?

He had a vision of the Milliman Bridge that all of a sudden he saw crossing the sky and he flipped the entire empire. So under Diocletian and other recent emperors, they were completely banned and they were executed because they were too revolutionary. Christianity because they could deal with the Jews because the Jews Judaism was localized in a particular area at that time and It was a particular group of people but Christianity said that anybody could get to heaven Through the combination of what would become the New Testament in the Old Testament And so the Romans said you know what this has an ability to be it's kind of like what Islam would do later This can infect everybody because it's not it's not ethnic or anything It's very dangerous and then all of a sudden Constantine was flipped 300 years after the death of Christ. And then they took all of the Roman rituals that had been used to oppress Christianity and turned them upside down. So when you see a cardinal with a purple and the pointed hat, that's all from the Roman legate and provincial system. And when you look even today, the organization of the Roman Catholic Church, it mimics the divisions in the empire.

They took the whole administrative system that the empire had, and they flipped it over to advance and institutionalize Christianity.

Okay.

It's a fun clip, isn't it? So Jillian Michaels is, again, married to a woman. She's been on the left her whole life, but I think just through default. And she's going in this process of awakening. I say default because again, the opening comment she said was, wait, wait, I thought we weren't even sure that Jesus existed. It's one thing to say that Jesus wasn't actually the son of God.

It's another to deny that he was even a person who walked around. So Jillian Michaels is going through a bit of an awakening on her own. By the way, I want to take back the word woke, or I shouldn't say take it back because we never made it up the word woke, but I want woke to be a word. us because it's actually a biblical concept first. Ephesians 5 .14 says, for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead and Christ will shine on you.

Awake, awake, O sleeper. What's a sleeper? The Greek word here for sleeper is someone who yields to sloth and sin or someone who is indifferent to their salvation. So wake up, you who are indifferent to your salvation. Arise from the dead and Christ will shine on you. Wake up.

Romans 13 11. Besides this, you know the time that the time has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed. Let us then lay aside the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. " Isaiah 52, 1 says, Awake, awake, put on your strength, O Zion, put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city, for there shall no more come into you the uncircumcised and the unclean. But awake, awake, wake up.

This is the original wake. Be awakened from your spiritual sleep. Be awakened from the darkness that you live on. Get the scales off your eyes and see the truth. It's time to be woke. Anyway, that's why I want to take back the word woke.

So just about the history of Jesus, that Jesus actually was a real person. Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, they wrote their gospels after Jesus died, rose, and ascended. Mark was 40 years later. Matthew was 50 years later. John was 65 years later. Matthew and John knew Jesus personally.

Mark was close with Peter. Luke was close with Paul. They all based their writings on witness testimony. Of course, it was all the work of the Holy Spirit. But I love Jillian Michaels being aghast at Jesus even being a real person. I distinctly remember, this was before I was a Christian, I was in a seminar in college, and I remember this room, I don't even know how we got up because it was about the Vietnam War or something, but everyone in this seminar, so like 15 people, were talking about how Jesus wasn't real.

Now, I wasn't a Christian at the time at all, but everyone was talking about how he wasn't real, like he was like the Tooth Fairy or Santa Claus, like straight up not real. never existed, not a real person, figment of our imagination.

All of it.

All of him. I remember thinking, hey, I'm not a Christian, but he was definitely like a guy. He was definitely like a real person that walked around. Liar, lunatic, or lord. These people in college say he didn't even exist. But there were a lot of historians who admitted that Jesus existed.

And they were contemporaries of Jesus Tacitus. Roman historian wrote about Jesus in 116 AD, wrote about the persecution of Christians. The Jewish historian Flavius Josephus wrote just within a few decades of Jesus's death, he talked about Jesus. Pliny the Younger mentioned Jesus as well in his writings. He wrote about how Christians would meet regularly and sing songs to Christ as to a God. Actually, I'm going to quote this, just so you don't think I'm making this up.

This is Pliny the Younger writing to the Emperor Trajan, 112, 112 AD. Pliny said, It is my custom, sir, to refer to you in all cases where I do not feel sure for who can better direct my doubts or inform my ignorance. I have never been present at any legal examination of the Christians, and I do not know, therefore, what are the usual penalties passed upon them, or the limits of those penalties, or how searching and inquiry should be made. I have hesitated a great deal in considering whether any distraction should be made. according to the ages of the accused, whether the weak should be punished as severely as the more robust, whether if they renounce their faith they should be pardoned." " So he's like, hmm, we've got these Christian people, how should we punish them? And what's too far? Does it matter if they're old or young? What if they're weak or strong? What if they renounce their faith, should we pardon them? Or whether the man who has once been a Christian should gain nothing by recanting. So if they, if they recant, should we let them go? Or nah, anytime you even mention, you know, say that Jesus is Lord, that's it for you, no matter what. Whether the name itself, even though otherwise innocent of crime, should be punished or only the crimes that gather around it. So should you get them for worshiping Jesus or should you get them for all these other crimes? In the meantime, this is the plan which I have adopted in the case of those Christians who have been brought before me. I ask them whether they are Christians. If they say yes, then I repeat the question a second and a third time, warning them of the penalties it entails, and if they still persist, I order them to be taken away to prison until the Roman governor has arrived."

He goes on and says, "...but they declared that the sum of their guilt or their error only amounted to this, that on a stated day they had been accustomed to meet before daybreak and to recite a hymn among themselves to Christ, as though he were a God, and that so far from binding themselves by oath to commit any crime, their oath was to abstain." from theft, robbery, adultery, and from breach of faith. " So he's like far from this being like a criminal group. Their oath was to not break the law and not to deny trust, money placed in the keeping when called upon to deliver it. When the ceremony was concluded, it had been their custom to depart and meet again to take food. Same thing we do now after church, after church lunch. But it was no special character and quite harmless.

And they had ceased this practice after the edict in which in accordance with your orders, I had forbidden all secret societies. It's great. That was only like year 112, he wrote that letter. Jesus was real. The Christians who knew him were willing to go to their death. I'm very encouraged by the spreading of the gospel and the truth of Jesus and God to many people.

There'll be many new people who are gonna hear the truth for really the first time, even though they've grown up in a so -called Christian country. And I'm encouraged when I hear stories like Jillian Michaels here who are amazed by what they've never heard before and curious to know more.

It's great.

Let me give you one of my favorite facts about Jesus that when, when I was not a Christian, I was reading my first apologetics book, Frank Turk, not enough faith to be an atheist. It makes the point that all the new Testament documents were written just within a few decades of Jesus's crucifixion. And there are 5 ,300 Greek manuscripts of the new Testament, 5 ,300. And still people are like, I don't know if he existed. Does anyone question if Plato existed? Anyone like, I don't know about that Plato guy.

I don't think he was real. There are only 250 known manuscripts of Plato's works that survive. And those date back, even though he was alive in about 400 BC, those date back to the year 900. So you've got like 1300 years between the actual Plato, like Plato the guy. 1 ,300 years before Plato the god. and the earliest documents we have of his.

1 ,300 years and no one questions Plato's existence. Yet for Jesus, these are contemporaries who wrote of him and people are like, I don't think so. And again, it's one thing to say you don't think he's Lord or God and all, like that's fine. The son of God, but it's another bit like, I don't think he exists.

It's great.

So super grateful, more people being woke, the good woke, the biblical woke. And let's just pray for more. I may have read Titus 3 the other day. I don't know if I did, but even if I did, it's worth it again. I love this section. He says, remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities.

Talking to Titus and his church. Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, to show perfect courtesy towards all people. And that's what Pliny was talking about. He's like, ah, man, these guys are like really good people. I don't even know what to get them on. But here's the best part.

For we ourselves, were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to His own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. The saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things so that those who have believed in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works. These things are excellent and profitable for people. " We can't be boastful about those things. who are not Christians yet, or who are new and working through it.

We can't be boastful because that was us not long ago. And also don't be discouraged by those who scoff, who don't believe in the truth of Jesus in the Bible. The fools will scoff.

That's fine.

But you also never know whose eyes you can help open, just like yours were. Praise God. Hopefully that's encouraging as we go into this Thanksgiving season. Maybe have some more interactions and encounters with people. You never know. Mike Slater, diallocals .  com, transcript. and no commercials over there. Mike Slater out, Locals .

This causes these progressive politicians to get even more entrenched.

Boys to men, girls to women

How do you do it? Advice please!

Dean Abbott,
"Why contemporary relations between the sexes are so messed up. The problem starts with men because men lead, the masculine pursues and initiates, and problems always start at the level of leadership.

Most men aren't taught that a relationship with a woman means accepting responsibility. No one tells us that a woman represents not only pleasure, but obligation.
The fact that having a relationship with a woman means responsibility and obligation never enters many men's minds.

When these men enter into a relationship with a woman, they are overwhelmed by her needs, her feminine communication style, and her emotions.
Moreover, he unconsciously resents her for having needs at all since he has been conditioned to see her solely as a source of pleasure.
When her anger and disappointment over his irresponsibility gets intense enough, he splits in search of another woman.
He mistakenly believes the problem wasn't his attitude nor that it is a ...

Morning Motivation, April 21, 2023

I found a way to easily transcribe the podcasts, so I will post them here first before they go out to iTunes and the rest.

Good morning. Welcome to The Morning Motivation, brought to you by Public Square and Patriot Gold Group. I'm grateful you're here. I was reading a sermon by the great Puritan preacher John Owen in the mid-1600s. I'm so fascinated by this time period, 1600s, early 1700s. We focus a lot on our founding fathers. I think that the Tea Party movement and just conservatism in general has focused a lot on the founding fathers, and that's amazing, but I'm very fascinated by our founding grandfathers or great-grandfathers, the people who created the culture that our founding fathers were raised in.

0:00:44
Isn't that a fascinating era? We got like 1776, like that's great, I love it, I want to know more, I don't know nearly enough. But what about the 1720s? What was going on there? Or the late 1600s? What was going on in America at that time? And you know, we've all heard of the Puritans, but you ...

Inflation and ANGER

I am angry and frustrated. With our Rulers. For getting us in this terrible economy. It doesn't have to be this way.

Please leave a 5-star review on Itunes. We have a ton of momentum, this is about to break through! Thank you!

Also, I haven't done any lives anywhere becauase we're hosting a daily TV show "Road to Misterms" on thefirsttv.com, and it's taken all of my extra time. And my wife is giving birth any day now, so...it's been a lot around here. But after the midterms, time will free up.

You were terse and dismissive in this morning's 7:25 Eastern time call with the Man with four step children applying for Naturalization from his Naturalized U.S. Wife of Philippine descent. You should be more considerate of history about America's relationship such as with the Philippine People, which is quite notable with intrinsic factors which should have favorable weight in consideration the Filipino propensity to immigrate and become American Citizens.

"The Resident Commissioner of the Philippines was a non-voting member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1907 until the Philippines gained independence in 1946. This role was established under the Philippine Organic Act of 1902, allowing the Philippines to have representation in Congress, similar to current non-voting members from U.S. territories."

Don't be so apparently xenophobic and stop misrepresenting American (and Christian while you're at it) History in omission through culpable ignorance.

A Cry For Help: "I Own A Strip Club"
Politics By Faith, August 24, 2026

Someone called in the other day and said he owns a strip club, but he's willing to get out of the business. Let's help, Greg! And lest we get on our high horse because we don't own a strip club, we should all be like the people outside of Simon's house asking for Jesus' help.

Welcome to Politics by Faith. It's where we take the news of the day, we bring it to the Bible, so we can walk away with peace and perspective. New headlines every day, but Ecclesiastes says it's not the new end of the sun. So thanks for being here to get the true story. The story of the day today, a call for help. At the end of my SiriusXM radio show on Friday, at the very end, last phone call, the segment before that, we were talking about rap music. And now, for the first time since 1990 no rap song is in the Billboard top 40.

And I just talked about that. It's great. Now, it's not that the other 40 songs are good. It's not like the Lawrence Welk Orchestra is knocking out the number one hits. Sorry, it's all trash. But at least rap's not in the top right. But I made the point that the peak of rap's popularity was only 30 market share. Usually, rap's like 20 25 market share. And there's just an impression that everyone's supposed to love it. Like, everyone does love rap and we're all supposed to love it. And no one likes it. So, I think we can stop pretending to like it. That was like a throwaway point at the end of the show, whatever. And some people called and they talked about rap music's changed. Like, oh, it used to be good in the 80s and now it's worse. You're like, okay. So, we had a couple of calls.

But some guy called in, Greg, in Michigan, Detroit. He said, Slater, let me tell you how bad rap music has become. He said, I own a strip club and the rap music today is so degenerate. That's the word he used, degenerate. I won't even play. It's so, rap music is so degenerate. I won't play it at my strip club. Is it sometimes? I strip club. He said, sometimes a song will slip through. Someone will pay 100 to the DJ and some modern rap song will pop through. He said, everyone sings along to it. He said, it's awful.

So we talked about rap music for a little bit. I said, now, Greg, hold on. You said something a moment ago. You own a what? And he shared a story. He said he's felt a pull really ever since he got into the business. That pull. I said, what do you mean a pull? You felt a pull. He's like, I, you know, the morality of it. I said, that's your conscience. People can sear their conscience. You should listen to it. He said he's a Christian. He said, You got to make money somehow. And he also said, We have free. I want to get back to that free will part in a minute. And then he went on in his rationalization and said, I protect these girls. I'm sort of a fatherlike figure and I'm a security and I'm sort of like a boyfriend. " I said, and pimp."

And he just, he went through like all these different excuses for how he's, how it's okay that he's in this industry. But I was encouraged By Greg because you could tell he still knew it was wrong. He said he has bad knees, owning a strip club is easier than he was a plumber for a long time. Bad knees, bad back or something. And I encouraged him that maybe he should do something else. And would you do something else if something else were available? And he said something like, I've been wanting to get out of the industry.

" Something like that. It was a call for help. Now I'm issuing a call for help. I bring this story up for two reasons. First, if you own a company or know of a company in the Detroit area and we can give Greg in Detroit an option and get him out of the strip club, how incredible would that be? Now. I challenge Greg with this. Not only will you be leaving the strip club, which is good for you, but you are in this unique position to be able to speak to the women, to rescue them out of what they're doing. I can speak about the whole thing from my high horse up here, but Greg, you know these people. You intimately know them. You know their names. You also know the places, you know the other owners, you know the girls. You can speak to them in a language that they understand, and you can rescue them. You can really help them. I'm not in a position to help these girls, but you are. Especially the ones that know you and trust you. But then also, after you rescue them, just girls.

Young women in the industry in general, you know what makes the whole thing tick and work and all. You can help people in such an incredible way. He says, Well, the money's good. So I asked him, I had to go. It was the end of the show. And I said, Greg, if you're interested. Send me an email. He did. He wrote me right away. And then I asked him back. I said, Greg, what are you making? What do you need to make in order for you to leave comfortably? He says, He makes just over 100000 a year. He's a plumber and he has a bachelor's degree. He's making pretty good money where he is. And Jesus said. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Greg is in a position to save souls he really can. He's the man to do it. Just need some help. If you're in the Detroit area and you can maybe help Greg out with a job or an opportunity, my personal email is slaterradiogmailcom Slaterradiogmailcom and if all of us.

The second reason I want to bring this up, if all of us can please pray for Greg in Michigan. And I pray that he makes a hard choice. That's not a hard choice. It's a monumental choice and acts on it. He says he's a Christian. So I pray the Holy Spirit speaks to him loudly and he can take these steps. And then I pray that he has zero regrets and instead feels this relief. I want Greg to, I would just love for there to be an opportunity. Someone listening now is like, oh, yeah, like I'll give Greg. I'll. Interview Greg, right? And then Greg's great. So we take on Greg, Greg leaves, and then he can help these girls. But the moment Leaves, I want him to feel this joy, this relief and this joy, like, Oh, I can finally, I'm doing what I know I should be doing."

And then I can go glorify God by spreading the word in a very dark place, a place that he used to spend a lot of time in. So if you could pray, again, you may be like, I'm in Alabama or whatever, I can't help Greg. " You can, if you can pray for Greg in Detroit, that would be amazing. And if you're in Detroit and you can help Greg, I got a lot of emails from people after that show, after that, who heard that. And they're like, oh man, it was moving for me and a lot of other people. We just need one person. One person to be in a position to help Greg do the right thing. It can be hard to do the right thing, but it is easier when people come alongside and help. My wife and I, to be personal here, my wife and I, when we were engaged We were living together. And we were going to this church.

And they confronted us on it. And it was as loving as it could possibly be done. I wasn't a Christian. I wasn't baptized at the time. I was studying the Bible. So I was studying the Bible with these men. So I remember the night, they're like, hey, come over and we'll study the Bible. And then my wife went with some women. And I went with some men. And the men were just ran through the scripture about living together. I forgot exactly the scriptures they used, but I remember being fully convicted and giving a lot of excuses, plenty of excuses, right? Oh, it's expensive, whatever, all the excuses people, but just couldn't deny the word of God anymore. I remember I jokingly, what's the right word? It was jokingly. But it was also like exhaustively frustrating. I don't know the right word, but I threw my pencil at. Guillermo. Guillermo was the leader of the church. I threw it at him as if to say, Well, I'm out. I got no other. I didn't throw it. I want to be clear. I didn't throw it at him. I was like, all right. Well.

No Milk and Rotten meat! Life Aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln
Politics By Faith, August 19, 2026

Reports are spreading that life aboard the aircraft carrier USS Lincoln is difficult and uncomfortable. How bad are things? There's not enough fresh milk. I'll tell you why the media is spreading this story and what the truth is.

Welcome to Politics by Faith. It's where we take the news of the day, we bring it to the Bible, so we can all walk away with peace and perspective. New headlines every day, but Ecclesiastes says it's not the new under the sun. Thanks for being here to get the true story, the story of the day today. Hayden Panettiere has died at the age of 36. Hayden was a child actress.

Her first TV show was Jim Henson's TGIF show in 1996, short -lived. It was called Aliens in the Family. She was seven. Did a lot of TV commercials as well. She was the voice of one of the characters in A Bug's Life. Her biggest childhood role was Remember the Titans as the precocious little girl.

Her big break as an adult was Heroes, some TV show, and in Nashville. A lot of headlines said she was from the Scream franchise. I'm old enough to think that Courtney Cox is the face of the Scream franchise, but I guess there was some reboot. She was found dead at Judson Mill Lofts in Greenville, South Carolina. Authorities don't think there was any foul play, no sign of trauma that could have contributed to her death. TMZ says that in the 911 dispatch, there was something said about an overdose.

But as I'm recording this now, we're not sure yet. I read this in USA Today. They said in the years leading up to her death, Panettiere had been candid about her health and struggles with substance abuse. The actress previously revealed that she struggled with alcohol and opioid addiction and sought treatment. And she also spoke openly about experiencing postpartum depression after welcoming her daughter Kayla in 2014. Her younger brother, also an actor, Jensen Panettiere, died in 2023 at the age of 28 from a heart condition.

Her daughter is with her ex -fiancé, so lives with her dad in Europe. So I don't know what that situation is about. what's broken about this horrible story is it's a reminder that celebrities don't live a great life. I saw that she had a net worth of $15 million. I don't know what her actual net worth was, right, but a lot. And she was famous and glamorous, and she went to all the red carpets and the big special events, and people were like, ooh, Hayden's here.

And I was like, she could afford anything in the world. She could go anywhere in the world. Anywhere she wanted right now, she could go and stay at the nicest place in the world, nicest hotel in New York City or wherever, and do whatever she wanted. And just wasn't happy. How are you doing? And if your excuse is, well, you know, I'm all right, but I don't have $15 million.

If I had $15 million, then I'd be, I'd be real happy. If I were famous, then I would be, I'd be, then I'd be grateful. So obviously not the answer. Happiness can't be about your circumstances. If you're not happy now, then you won't be happy with the change of circumstance. You really won't.

You won't. It depends where you find your happiness. And you can never go about thinking that your life would be, if you were a celebrity, then life would be good. Like it's not it. And most celebrities will admit it. It's just not a good life.

I think one of the reasons it's not a good life is because you're never sure about your relationships. Are people there for the money? Are people there for the fame? People there for the perks? How loyal are your friends? And you can be rich and famous, big celebrity, but your 11 year old daughter lives in Europe with your ex.

Like what good is all that money? Who cares? Who wants this money? And then it makes life seem even more shallow and meaningless. It's relationships that matter the most. Your relationship with Jesus, first and foremost, which is what we're going to get to.

But then secondly, your relationships here on earth. And if those relationships are questionable at best or broken, then no matter what your relationships are here on earth, you need to have that relationship with Jesus. I was convicted this morning with a scripture that I've read a thousand times. Matthew 7, 21, Jesus is not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, we'll enter the kingdom of heaven. but the one who does the will of my father who is in heaven. " And his followers, they're like, what are you talking about?

We prophesied in your name. We casted out demons. We did all these mighty works. We did stuff. What do you mean? Not everyone who says, Lord, Lord, we'll go to heaven.

Like we're doing the stuff. Like if we went back and we saw this happening, we would say that these people who are questioning this, we would say they're Christians. And then Jesus said, and then I will declare to them, I never knew you. Depart from me, you who practice lawlessness. That line never stood out to me. All the times I've read this, that last part, you who practice lawlessness.

The Greek word here for to know me is the intimate knowing of someone or an intimate relationship with someone. He's saying, you people, you're doing stuff, quote unquote in my name, but you don't know me. I don't know you. We don't have a relationship and you're practicing lawlessness actually. 1 John 2, 3 says, and by this, we know that they have come to know him. If we keep his commandments. Whoever says, I know him, but does not keep his commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him.

There's a keeping of the commandments. They're not practicing lawlessness. And Jesus ends the sermon on the Mount, Matthew 7, 24. Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And then it says, everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be the foolish man who built his house on the sand. So there's, there's a, it's not just hearing the words, you got to go do them and not just do anything, but follow his commands.

Now, of course, there's no working our way to Jesus, no working our way to heaven. These things, the doing stuff, it's the fruit that comes out of the intimate relationship with Jesus. It comes out of the knowing Jesus. And Jesus is the only person that brings peace. No matter what rough times, difficult times, mental health, addiction, whatever, come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. So many people who need relationship, they need intimacy, and they need rest.

All of that comes through Jesus. Jesus said, take my yoke upon you and learn from me. Learn from me. I am gentle and humble at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. How many people today need rest in their souls? For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Isn't that incredible?

Find rest for your souls in Jesus. Nothing else will give it to you. Nothing else on this earth will make you content. We need that reminder because if we walk around disgruntled and discontent, There's a chance that Jesus says, I never knew you. You're not looking to me. You're not looking to me for your refuge.

You're not looking to me for a relationship. Nothing else. Fame, money, celebrity, nothing else will fill that void. Nothing else will give you rest. That is all and only in Jesus. Don't miss these reminders.

Trump: "Who Are These Animals?" Destroying The WWII Memorial
Politics By Faith, August 17, 2026

In this country, there are people "of the Devil," and there are people "of Christ." We are called to build. The rest are dead set on destruction. Whether it's institutions, organizations, or statues and memorials, those of the Devil can't stop destroying everything that is good, beautiful, and true.

Welcome to Politics by Faith. This is where we take the news of the day, we bring it to the Bible, so we can walk away with peace and perspective. New headlines every day. They never stop. They keep coming. I'm going to bombard you.

But Ecclesiastes says it's not the new under the sun. So thanks for being here to get the true story, the story of the day today. Vandalizing the World War II Memorial. So what happened here? The president tweeted out the other day, our beautiful World War II Memorial was just hit by spray painting vandals. There could be no greater insult to those Americans, American heroes who died in World War II.

First, the reflecting pool. Now this, we are on their trail. Where do these animals come from? So someone wrote with spray paint on the World War II Memorial. They wrote clean hands, dirty money. I don't know what that means, but then they just made this big mess.

all around. And then someone or someone else, I don't know that same person, I don't know, poured bubble soap in the fountains of the memorial. So it made this big foam bubble mess. The good news of this story is that the U . S. attorney for Washington, D .

C. is also the DA for D . C. The weird quirk of how, like what Washington, D . C. even is. I mean, thank goodness that Jeanine Pirro is the D .

A. of D . C. because she is able to arrest murderers and drug dealers. There's no other city in the country where the D . A.

is going to be someone like Jeanine Pirro. D . C. is the only place. So she's in charge of this, and she already charged someone. Two felony charges, vandalism against property and destruction of Veterans Memorial.

That's a specific charge. Melissa Ferris. Facing up to 10 years in prison, now in custody, of course, it's a degenerate. looking person as they almost always are. Her outside is a reflection of her heart, a heart that is consumed with destruction. And that's what I want to talk about here.

That's what I want to talk about what's broken in this story. I cannot stress enough how dead set these people are on destruction. We don't, it's hard for us to understand this because you're not, you're not dead set on destruction. You're trying to build things. You're trying to make things better. These people are, they're different.

They set on destruction at the risk of getting off topic. Let me, let me weave for just a second here. This is on my mind. Cause we've been talking a lot about this on the, on the radio show lately, the importance of a high trust society. And we've taken it for granted our whole life. We've lived in a high trust society and we didn't recognize it.

And now we're losing it. And it's going to be gone fast. A basic example we can all understand is. You grew up in a world, in a country, in a culture where you walk into a store and it's all there. And then you take a thing off the shelf and you put it in a basket or a cart and then you go over there to the checkout person and you pay and then you walk out the door. Well enough people just stopped doing that.

Like they would just steal stuff. So then the stores had to lock everything up. We all know about that example. It's mostly foreigners who do this. because they come from low -trust societies, or it's just degenerate people. Maybe they grew up here, but they're not American at their core because that's not our culture.

But there's other examples of high -trust society that we're losing. McDonald's said they're getting rid of self -serve soda stations. Have you ever thought about that? Have you ever thought about the fact that you can buy one soda, and you just walk over there, or you just get a water. You could ask for a water, and you just go over there, and you grab a drink. And if you want another one, you gotta go back and pay, but that's okay because you can just fill it up yourself.

Like that's a high trust society, but they're getting rid of that. Why are they doing it? McDonald's said they're getting rid of it because of quote, changing consumer habits. No, it's because disgusting people keep stealing soda. We talked about a story the other day on the radio of how people are not only attacking and robbing the mailman, mail carriers, Now gangs are infiltrating the post office to become mail carriers so they can systematically steal from you and I, from everyone. They can steal important documents, credit cards, whatever they want.

So how about taking mail delivery for granted? I never thought twice about that one. I never thought that people would just steal the mail because we've always lived in a high trust society, but people now steal the mail. It's crazy. Someone called in the other day because I have an open call for anyone who ever has a high trust story. that they wanna celebrate.

This guy called in and said they were in a convenience store in their town, and the person forgot their wallet, and the cashier person said, ah, don't worry about it, I owe you. Next time you're here, pay it off. And the guy was the second person in line, said, what? What was that? Oh, that's how it used to be. All these old -timey movies, the Wild West, where people put stuff on their tab.

Tab? You have a tab? What do you mean you have a tab? If you ever, if you have an example of a high -trust society, thing, element, example, story, something in your town that's high trust. Please let me know. I love these stories so much.

Let me know in the comments of our YouTube page, your high trust society example, whether it's something you had growing up or let's pray something you still have today. Just one that popped in my head is in my town I used to live in, we went back a couple of years ago for a vacation and just like a mile or so down the lake where we stayed, there was like a farm stand. Like a farm stand is a classic example, right? You put your money in the little Folgers cup, make your own change. This guy did that though, but for maple syrup.

This guy had this little shed of maple syrup. There had to be like $10 ,000 worth of maple syrup. That's an expensive item. And it was all just, you know, grab it, whatever. Grab what you want and leave your money right there. Like, oh man.

So please let me know in the comments your high trust society story. And I love to hear these stories because when, every time they happen, it, it tells people that this is how we do it, right? Like, so, so if you, if someone does a high trust society thing to you, you're more likely to then do another high trust society thing to someone else. And then it snowballs because people are like, oh, wow, we were doing that. We're, we're honest. Oh, that's awesome.

I want to be honest like that too, to people and it snowballs for the better, but it could spiral down fast as well. It's one of the things we lose when the whole third world comes here because they view your trust as weakness. It's a weakness to be taken advantage of. The vice president had an anti -fraud round table like a week or so ago. And the second person in command there, someone at the treasury department, said these welfare programs were designed for a high trust society. And they worked without having to do a lot of paperwork and checking in on people and all the rest.

When more foreigners come in than ever before and it's just game on. People taking advantage of this thinking, wow, these Americans are just a bunch of suckers. Can you believe it? They're just giving all this money away. I can't believe they're so stupid. Third worlders, they come here and they see our high trust as weakness.

Can you believe people are just given free food away at the food pantry? They're just giving food away. It's like, yeah, that's not what that's for. Can you believe we just got to fill this form and we'll make millions of dollars a year with our fake daycare? It's free money. They just give it to you.

They see our trust as weakness. Similarly, back at the end of my weave, I think this ties in here because these are people who walk around and they just see, they see weakness. And there's other people who walk around and they're dead set on destruction. It's in their heart. They see things that are good, beautiful, and true. and their wicked heart says, I have to destroy that.

And it could be a thing like a statue or like a war memorial. It could be an organization like the Boy Scouts. It could be a company like Bud Light or Cracker Barrel. It could be an industry like Hollywood, or you can even think like Star Wars specifically. Like it's good, I'm gonna destroy it. That woke feminist woman who came in there, Kathleen Kennedy or whatever her name is, comes in and just destroys the whole thing.

I saw a video the other day of the Vanderbilt Divinity School. It's hollowed out and woke trans in every way. It could be any other part of our culture, like professional sports. It could be an institution like marriage, whatever, whatever it is. I just list off a pretty broad range of things. The left, they're very good at knowing what the most important things are to take down. We talked a lot about last week.

We're going to keep talking about it too. The left, about 50 years or so, their focus on taking down marriage. I know what I'm saying is true. it's in the Bible. Satan and his demons are destroyers. Check out this line in the Bible, Revelation 9 11.

It says they have as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit. His name in Hebrew is Abaddon, A -B -A -D -D -O -N, and in Greek he's called Apollon. The word Abaddon in Hebrew, it says that's what his name is. His name Abaddon in Hebrew, it means destruction. That's literally what the word means. This is the fallen angel who's in charge of this bottomless pit.

His name is Destruction. Other translations of that Hebrew word are Ruin. I looked at the Blue Letter Bible and described it as the name of the angel prince of the infernal regions, the minister of death and the author of havoc on the earth. Also a destroying angel. The fallen angel, the demon's name is Destruction. I know I'm hitting on something I think is right on.

Jesus calls Satan a murderer from the very beginning. A murderer destroys life. The devil is like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour. Satan destroys. Demons destroy. That's their goal.

John 10, Jesus says the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. This is what ungodly people do, their intent on destruction. We see what Satan is capable of in Job. Now Satan's permitted to do all this here, right? But we see what he's capable of when he strikes Job and how he strikes Job. He takes away Job's livelihood, kills his animals, his servants, kills all 10 of his children.

They were eating together, having a wonderful time as a family. Satan then attacks Job's health and then Satan tries to turn Job against God. These are the strategies of Satan. They're all destruction. They're destroying health, life, relationships. So what Satan does, he destroys.

And people today, they act in Satan's name. 1 John 3 .12 says, we should not be like Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. Cain was of the evil one. There's a lot of people who are, even today. We shouldn't be though. We are of Christ.

There are some people who are of the evil one. We are of Christ. Christ. We are called to hire. We are called to godliness. We are called to righteousness.

We are called to build. Whether it's building monuments to World War II veterans, to maintain their memory, or for building a family or a school, or you're serving your town, or you're doing amazing work at your job, we build. Colossians 3 .23 says, whatever you do, work heartily as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord, you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. I will be fair though. The Bible does say that we destroy too.

In general, we're builders, but there is one thing we destroy. 1 John 3 says, the reason the son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. Maybe we don't do that then. Jesus already did. Jesus destroyed the works of the devil. It's now our job to build.
