Trump is the only person who can take the incessant attacks against him. But when this becomes the norm for the left against conservatives, what type of person would ever run in the future for higher office? Not the type of person we want.
Good morning, welcome to The Morning Motivation brought to you by Patriot Gold Group and the Public Square app. Did you see the debate or Trump's interview? We talked all about it on my Breitbart News Daily, SiriusXM show, went through all the highlights and we had the editor-in-chief, Alex Marlow, from Breitbart.com on and made a really good point that I've been thinking a lot about and I want to present here. We play a clip of Trump from the talk interview saying that he's the only one who can stand the heat, who can take the blows, who can take the arrows. And if he doesn't do it, then they're just gonna come after the next person,

and that's definitely true. So whoever gets the nomination has to be someone who can handle that because there's gonna be plenty of it. But Alex made the point that this presents a potential problem in the future because what kind of person, what kind of people will be getting into politics moving forward if this is true? So let me see if I can explain this well. Let's say back in the day there was the perfect world where good people would run for office and that was the end of it. And then at a certain point we started to dig up dirt on all these good people. Started going back to third grade to see if they picked on anyone. They literally did that with Mitt Romney. So we got to find dirt, skeletons in the closets. And we did that for a while and it could have gone one of two ways. Either is either only squeaky clean people run for office now, there's no dirt to find, or shameless people start to run for office where there's plenty of dirt, they just don't care. They're shameless about it. Maybe we've gotten more of those than we need. But now let's take it to the next level. Now, not only are people who, like opponents, are willing to ruin the lives of their competitors, now they're willing to throw them in jail. So these are very high stakes. So, if these are the stakes of running for office now, that you may go to jail and get wrapped up in a RICO charge, and your lawyers may go to jail, and your friends may go to jail, and your advisors may go to jail, it's changed the game. So now you're either gonna get super humble people who will run for office, people who just have the Holy Spirit and can decipher between truth and lies and what is true and reject what is false. And that is a supernatural gifting to be able to handle all of this, this incoming for such a long period of time. And maybe people like that will start to run for higher office and they'll be immune to the attacks that come their way. Such flaming narcissists, so monumentally conceited and prideful, that they have a total disconnect from fellow human beings. They've lost their own humanity and therefore they don't even see the humanity in others. And those are the types of people that we now have running for office. This potential made me think of Matthew 12 20. It's from Isaiah. Very interesting scripture. Speaking of Jesus. A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick or flax he will not quench, until he brings justice to victory. A bruised reed and a smoldering flax. What is that? So here's the deal. Nothing is weaker than a bruised reed or a smoldering flax. These are weak things. Apparently a weak reed that grows in a swamp, very easy to snap. A duck can snap a reed. Nothing more frail or brittle than a bruised reed. But Jesus will not break it. And a smoldering flax, super easy to blow out, right? It's not on fire, it's just smoldering. If you want it to go, it's gone. The fire's gone. But Jesus will not quench it. He will not blow it out. So that's us. We are as weak as a bruised reed and a smoldering flax. We are weak without strength, without wisdom, without foresight. And a bruised reed to the world is a worthless thing. It has no purpose. It has no stability. It's nothing. And we are all bruised reeds. He will not break you though. In fact, because you're so weak, and do you see how different this is from the world? It's one reason why I love Christianity so much. It is so, so, the exact opposite of the world. In the world, politicians, politics move forward, we're going to get the biggest, proud, most proud, haughtiest person imaginable. And in Christianity, it's about taking the lowest seat at the table. And because you're so weak, Jesus's promises are for you. And this might be the best part. A bruised reed might be damaged, but it's not unfixable. And a smoldering flax is about to lose its fire, but it can be reignited. So while the world and the political world is going to be looking for bigger, bigger, bigger. We ourselves individually can truly become righteous only when we realize how we are a bruised reed and a smoldering flax. But because that is true, God will make you do mighty works for Him.
