There is no such thing as perfect happiness in this world. This is great news. Because while the world scurries for answers, we know why this is the case and the solution to it.
Hey, welcome to the Politics by Faith morning motivation. We're talking about this poll that says 87% of Americans believe in at least one aspect of what's called New Age Spiritualism. 87%. So, we're taking the week to go over a different aspect of this New Age Spiritualism that perhaps you maybe unwittingly have believed in, and most of our country certainly does. Let me give you one more background here. For the first time in living memory, less than half of the population of England and Wales calls themselves Christians. The proportion of people identifying with Christianity in England, 46% in last year's census. It's a 13% decline over the last decade. Wow, 13%. But it's worse than just that.

Less than 10% of people in England and Wales are members of any church, and only 5% constantly or consistently attend services. Then you add in biblical orthodoxy. One missionary in England says he would be happy to hear if 2% of people in England are truly Bible-believing and practicing Christians. 2%. Wow. Okay, so we've got to get back to the basics here. A New Age spiritualist belief is that there is no such thing as evil and no such thing as good or bad.

Evil and bad, they are illusions that must be transcended. And most Americans agree with this. They think this is indeed true. This worldview that there's no such thing as evil has seeped into politics and this idea of victimhood. And the belief is that criminals are the real victims here. So someone breaks into another person's house, attacks the homeowner, steals their stuff, and the world says that the criminal is the real victim. Oh, they're the victim of poverty, the victim of a broken system. They've been arrested many times before, so they're the victim of a broken justice system. The victim of racism, the victim of capitalism, the victim of oppression. So what we need to do is we just need to wish it all away.

We can manifest this all away by pretending it doesn't even exist. It's a new age idea. Deepak Chopra is one of the most famous of the new age movement. You've heard him before, Deepak Chopra. He was asked in an interview years ago if Satan exists. And he said, what we need to do, again the question, does Satan exist? He said, well, what we need to do is understand ourselves and move towards the direction of compassion, creativity, understanding, inspiration, and understanding that we're part of an ineffable mystery, an undescribable mystery, and the moment we label the mystery as good and evil, right and wrong, then we create conflict in the world.

You see that? So it's once you identify it, once you label it as evil or bad, that's when you create the conflict. So the New Age movement says there's no such thing as good or bad. It's just a lack of compassion and creativity and understanding and inspiration. And as soon as you label it something bad, that's what causes the conflict. As opposed to the Christian worldview which says, no, it is. It's bad. We're naming a thing that exists. Our naming, it doesn't create it as evil.

It is evil. Now politically this means that no one is bad. There are no criminals, just the misunderstood and the uninspired. This person isn't a criminal. Their creativity just hasn't been fully developed. So all these bad things happening is just an illusion that we can legislate away. It's very similar to the New Agers who say truth doesn't exist. They also say evil doesn't exist. The Christian worldview on the other hand is that evil exists. It is real. It's not an illusion. And God hates it. And so must we. But if we can't even acknowledge that it exists, like the New Agers and most Americans don't, we're gonna have a hard time rooting it out.
