Well. That debate was something. I'll do a segment next week on how the media and Democrats all KNEW this was true, but lied to you for years. This might be the greatest hoax of them all. Even as he campaigned in his basement in 2020 because he was senile, they kept the hoax going, until it came crashing down last night. But today's episode is a quick thought on managing emotions and a few thoughts on Alzheimer's.
Welcome to Politics by Faith brought to you by the Patriot Gold Group. Wow, just coming after the debate. The debate was last night. We talked about it for three hours this morning. Had a great show, amazing callers. I feel like doing a podcast on elder abuse and how you need to respect your elders.
Which Trump did last night, by the way. He was as kind as you could be. Well let's do this maybe we should take this moment to temper our emotions. Oh by the way John MacArthur is gonna be on Tuesday's radio show. Look forward to that. When something bad happens in politics it's easy to get down on life but if that's bad then it's equally bad that when something good happens to get too excited about it. Get too high, celebrate too much, get too giddy. When in reality we're just
0:01:02
as in control when we're winning as when we're losing and that is pretty much not in control. Now I should say this too about feeling you know happy about what happened last night. We had a couple of callers yesterday, and it was really interesting to show the three hours of taking phone calls. They came in interesting waves
0:01:21
throughout the whole three hours. And we had this one wave of people calling in saying, hey, yeah, we get politically this is great for Trump, but also really bad for America because who's gonna be running the country for the next seven months?
0:01:37
And all of our enemies are now very aware of who our president is. Now, I think they were aware before, but now everyone knows. So what are our enemies going to do to take advantage of us for the next seven months? Also, who's been the president the last three years? Another interesting question as well. So anyway, the point is that a lot of these callers were not giddy.

Sure, maybe politically, but this opens up a whole new can of problems for our country these next seven months. So whether you're high, low, wherever you are, we need to realize that we're really not in control. Of course we have our role, we have our parts to play, but we're not in control. God has it all entirely. I do want to comment for a second about Alzheimer's. Alzheimer's and dementia, a very sad thing. You lose your identity. You lose your memory, you lose your identity.
0:02:26
Who am I anymore if I don't remember anything? I remember talking to a friend years ago before I became a Christian. We were at the gym and we were talking about, that was our identity, right? Go to the gym every day, CrossFit. And we were like, man, what if, what if we can't do this? What if we got an accident and we lost our legs or something?
0:02:42
Who would we be if we lost our ability to lift weights and run and be fit. And it's like, oh no, it'd be terrible. But the good news is, since then I've become a Christian, so I have a brand new identity that's not dependent on any of these things, whether it's the use of my legs or my brain. Your identity in Christ is bigger than all those things, as a child of God.

And there should be some comfort there. It doesn't make anything any easier, but it's true. And God's also there in the darkness, the darkness that is Alzheimer's. Psalm 139, 8, if I make my bed in Sheol, you're there. Psalm 23, 4, even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me.
0:03:25
No matter where, no matter what, no matter what you remember or you don't, God's always there. Also, God does not forget. You may forget, whether it's forget why you walked into this room, or forget where you left your car keys, or you forget everything in your life. And I fear that one day that will happen to me.
0:03:44
I don't know why, I guess we sort of have it in the family from time to time. But I think, for some reason I think that I'll lose my memory when I get older. And what comfort knowing that God won't forget me. So what's going to happen politically?
0:04:01
I have no idea. Do they bail on Joe?
0:04:03
Do they kick him out? Do they do a 25th amendment? It's all about him and whether or not he wants to resign and Jill and what she does. That's it. I, so listen, the democratic party is a private club. They can do whatever they want.
0:04:15
They can just come up with a super duper delegate. They already have super delegates. They just have a super duper delegate. They just like to get the party together and they're like, all right, what do we do? Yeah, well, let's have a super delegate. The super delegate vote is worth a thousand votes. They do whatever they want. But all of that, it can only happen if Joe resigns. If Joe steps aside or if
0:04:38
the Clintons come in and handle it, you know what I'm saying? I don't know. I think he has to. Alex Marlow, my boss at brightpart.com, he thinks that he won't. Nothing in Joe's life has ever led him to believe that he's ever would resign from anything at all. And what good does that do him? If he does, what good does it do him? No good. So I don't know. I don't know what's gonna happen. But God does. And let's take that comfort with us when things are bad politically and even when things are politically. And if you know someone or maybe you are in the beginnings of it or think one day you will have Alzheimer's, God still loves you. God still has you. He does not forget. And this world, politics included, is all a light and He does not forget. And this world, politics included, is all a light and momentary affliction. And it's preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all comprehension.
