What an incredible political moment we're living in. What in the world are the Democrats going to do? They have no good answer out of this mess; a mess that was caused by Pride. We too can avoid pickles like this in our own lives if we beat down Pride.
Welcome to Politics by Faith, brought to you by the Patriot Gold Group. Oh, what a time! Politically, what a time, right? It's unbelievable. So many truly, actually unprecedented things. That's such an overused word.
That's historical. It's like, well, not really. There's nothing new under the sun. But in this case, like, we've never had a president who's senile at the end of his term here. And with such little time, the Democrats don't know, I've never seen this much total chaos within a party. So this is really, it's great.
Well, it's great because conservatives at the moment are on the winning side of it. Let's talk about Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden. I think what we're seeing is hubris. More of it out of Jill, maybe. Hubris and pride. Joe's always been a super ambitious person. Ambition, I think, has a negative connotation. It's about glorifying yourself and not glorifying God. If you're interested in glorifying God, it doesn't matter what he calls you to do or where he calls you to go, whether it's
0:01:15
to take a leadership position of prominence or to take the lowest seat at the table. It doesn't matter, whatever. You're only interested in glorifying him and that's it. If you're ambitious, then you only want to glorify yourself. And you're liable to do all kinds of unwise things, but also wicked things, because nothing else matters.

It's whatever it takes to get ahead, whatever it takes. Let me play this clip here actually of Tim Dillon talking about Gavin Newsom. But Gavin Newsom, Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, it's all the same. I'm Bob Gavin Newsom. This snake in the grass, this serpent, he lives on a vineyard. He believes in nothing. He's an empty suit. He's the most conservative member of California's governing apparatus, which will tell you something. I do not like him as a politician, but I actually dislike him as a person more than a politician, but I do respect him.
0:02:11
Now, how can I hold all those thoughts in my head at once? I'll tell you how. I respect his treachery. I fear it. If I were near him in a room, I'd be scared of what he'd do. He'd poison you.
0:02:23
He'd kiss you on the cheek. He'd have the brakes taken out of your car, of course he can't do it himself, he'd have someone do it. His treachery is to be respected the way you'd respect a cobra, the way you would respect a snake in the grass, a literal demon. Someone who knows nothing but ambition and who will step on your neck.
0:02:46
All these people who know nothing but ambition, they should be feared. You need to watch out for them. They will stab you in the back and destroy you if it benefits them. Whatever it takes to get ahead. You know there's an expression, pride before the fall, and people think that that's in the Bible and it actually is. It's actually one of the few ones in it. There's a lot of expressions out there that people think are in the Bible
0:03:11
that's not actually in the Bible. That one is. Proverbs 16 18 pride goes before destruction. The opposite James 4 6 God resists the proud. That part's not opposite. But this is but gives grace to the humble. Proverbs 16 4 everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord. Though they join forces none will go unpunished. So it doesn't matter if many prideful ambitious people join forces and team up against God God will win and your pride Will not go unpunished the Edomites are a fun biblical example
0:03:50
so Jacob was the father of the Israelites and Esau was the father of the Edomites and They were pagans and they attacked Israel and they're gone now Ezekiel 35 as you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate. So I will deal with you. You shall be desolate, Mount Seir, and all Edom, all of it. Then they will know that I am the Lord."
0:04:10
Obadiah 1, the pride of your heart has deceived you. You who live in the cleft of the rocks and make your home on the heights, you who say to yourself, Who can bring me down to the ground? Though you soar like the eagle and make your nest among the stars, from there I will bring you down, declares the Lord." C.S. Lewis wrote that humility is the most important of all the virtues.
0:04:34
He said of pride, according to Christian teachers, the essential vice, the utmost evil, is pride. Unchastity, anger, greed, drunkenness, and all that are mere flea bites in comparison. It was through pride that the devil became the devil. Pride leads to every other vice. It is the complete anti-God state of mind. It is pride which has been the chief cause of misery in every nation and every family
0:04:56
since the world began. Jesus was the most humble, of course. Paul said in Philippians 2, Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men, and being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the

point of death, even death to the cross." That is the greatest humility and glorifying God ever, obviously. A humble person will say, I think my time here is done. A man who has insatiable thirst for power will never give it up. And there have been countless examples of that in human history, of course. A man who is humble will know that he only serves a purpose for something greater than him.
0:05:51
In this case, a country, our country, the United States of America. You know, if I can be the best person to serve, I'll do it. But if I'm not, Joe Biden's clearly not, then I'll step aside because this thing that I'm supposedly serving is bigger than me. But when nothing's bigger than you, like Satan thought about him and God, nothing's bigger than me, I'm bigger than God, when nothing's bigger than you then it's all
0:06:19
about you. Then you'll cling to whatever you find your happiness in until your dying day and that's what it looks like Joe will do let us never be people who cling to power and prestige and fame and honor and money or whatever this prideful poison attaches to we have to live for something bigger than any of those things and the only thing that is worth living for is God as long as you're glorifying him you'll know when to take the seat of honor and when to give it up and take again that lowest seat at the table.
