The Democrats picked up the word "weird" as their latest attack. What does that word really mean? And...WHO is calling you weird exactly? The people who can't define women?
Welcome to Politics by Faith brought to you by the Patriot Gold Group. Thanks for being here. Have you heard this new attack on J.D. Vance in particular, but Trump and J.D. and all MAGA Republicans. This attack from the left is to call you weird. That's the new attack. And the lamestream and the Democrats picked up that talking point and they ran with it this montage is all from a day maybe two days these are all the times they use the word weird

He's such a weirdo.
0:00:59
Donald Trump and his weirdo running mate are weird. Deeply and profoundly weird. They are weird.
0:01:04
These Republicans just being weird. It's just weird.
0:01:07
It's really weird. Republican weirdness goes even deeper.
0:01:11
He said a lot of things that are weird. The weird style that he brings, weird policies.
0:01:16
We'll start with the weird thing, because it is a thing.
0:01:19
Just plain weird.
0:01:20
What was weird was talking about diet Mountain Dew. Who drinks diet Mountain Dew?
0:01:24
Have you ever seen the guy laugh? That seems very weird to me that an adult can go through six and a half years of being in the public eye. If he has laughed, it's at someone, not with someone. That is weird behavior.
0:01:35
Weird and cultish.
0:01:37
These are weird people on the other side. He kind of doubled down on his
0:01:40
weird ideas. I think weird is probably generous. Simply weird. These guys are just plain weird. Vance as weird. You know as the campaign said, weird. It really is just plain weird. J.D.
0:01:49
Vance, plain weird. I mean I don't know how else you could read it. It is kind of weird.
0:01:54
We're not afraid of weird people. The other side, they're just weird. Why are you being
0:01:57
so weird? Vance has done something more extreme, more weird. No matter what kind of weird stuff they keep saying Trump and Vance are just weird in addition it's a good this is about that's the weird part that's the most engaging whom he addressed as my beautiful Christians which was super weird weird tech bro JD Vance he's a weird guy JD Vance uneasy
0:02:19
and sort of weird frankly for lack of a better word that he's weird
0:02:22
castig remarks that aren't even funny and he kind of shows that he can't really deliver a one-liner. So Sam weird
0:02:29
is the word here in terms of initial impressions from Vance to the American

public. That's something that all came out of nowhere. It was all one day. They decided hey let's call him weird and they all just programmed like they were being programmed and just went with it. The origins of the word weird means skilled in witchcraft. And that's the direction I want to go. But do we need to talk about how the left is weird? Do we need to take time to talk about the sterilizing of children? Thinking that boys can become girls, girls can become boys, men and women sports, women's locker rooms, calling men who dress up as women, calling them actually women, unable to define what a woman is. All homosexuality, polyamory, people dressed as furries, the Olympic opening ceremonies. You watch the Olympic opening ceremonies and you're like, oh that's even beyond the blasphemy, you're like, oh that's just weird. It's an ugly aesthetic that's just weird drag queen story hour like give me a break like and they're calling JD Vance weird shit what's weird this is a weird to events it's a wife and three kids something like a normal life like it them every everyone I've ever talked to knows JD Vance talks about is the normalest guy ever let's go a little deeper here let's bring the Bible into it John 3 16. I happened to read it this morning. Everyone knows this. For God so loved the world. How much did he love the world? He gave his only begotten Son. Why? So that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Pretty good.
Much has been said about that line and it can never be enough. I don't mean to move past it too quickly, but not enough is said about the two lines after it. John 3, 17. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. Another wonderful message. Jesus did not come to condemn, but to save. Now a lot of people will take that and say, see, you can't judge. You can't judge. You can't judge me. Even Jesus didn't come to condemn. You can't condemn. Who do you think you are condemning anyone for their lifestyle choices? Even Jesus didn't come to condemn. Okay, well let's move on to the next sentence. John 3 18. He who believes in him is not condemned. Fantastic. But he who does not believe all is condemned already. Jesus did not come to condemn because you were already condemned. Condemned means to be guilty of wrongdoing. So Jesus did not come to accuse you of being guilty. You were already guilty. He came to rescue you. Jesus did not need to come to condemn the world. It was already. He didn't like double condemn it. He was coming to save and rescue you. We're suffering of course in this country from this fake watered-down Christianity. I think the one of the great lies from the devil, we talked about this on Monday's show on SiriusXM, because we're talking about gratitude, but I think the greatest lie from the devil is that you don't, you're pretty good. Like you're good. You're good, you were born good. And you're doing alright. And you don't need saving. Because you're doing good. And if you don't need saving, you don't need to save your, you don't need to be rescued.
Simple visual, if you're drowning in the ocean, and someone comes and rescues you, you're gonna be pretty grateful. We were watching a little bit of the surfing Olympics, so the surfing, everything's in France, but surfing is in French Polynesia, it's in Tunisia, or Tunisia, Tahiti. And we watched a little bit of it, and these waves are crazy, huge, massive, monstrous waves. And the first wave we saw, the guy got just wrecked, absolutely destroyed. And it was some Japanese guy, and they went over to the Japanese boat, and all the coaches or whoever on the boat were like, oh, is he alive? And my kids were like, does that hurt? I was like, ah, I can't even fathom how much that hurts, and how scary and terrifying that is. I know a little bit, I know like a little bit of wave in the few times I've gone surfing, it's horrible. I can't imagine a 30-foot wave crashing down on top of you and they rescued him and some guy with a jet ski comes in, picks him up. I bet that guy's pretty grateful. I bet the surfer's pretty grateful for the jet ski guy coming to save me. You're my savior in this moment, you're saving me from this. But if you're standing ankle deep in the kiddie pool and you're just standing there and a lifeguard runs over to you and throws his buoy at you and grabs you from behind and start pulling you onto the deck of the pool you're gonna be like what are you doing why are you bothering me that's what most people think at the least if you tell them about Jesus because they don't realize how much they're drowning. They think they're just standing in the kiddie pool. And you're like, you're drowning, you're drowning! And they're like, well, I mean, my toes are a little wet, I guess, but you know, everyone's toes are a little wet. And you're like, no, no, you're drowning in an ocean. Like a 30-foot wave just pummeled you in the ocean. They're like, ah, I don't think so.
The Bible says, and this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light lest his deeds should be exposed. A lot of people love the darkness more than the light. A lot of people love their sin. They like it enough. They prefer the darkness. Certainly if you're practicing evil you hate the light. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God. God says, to do the truth. That's a good line, isn't it? To do the truth. But he who does the truth. It's an interesting line, isn't it? To do the truth? We'll jump ahead a little bit to John 335. He who believes in the Son has everlasting life and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life but the wrath of God abides on him. You reject the Son, you receive the wrath. In conclusion, don't let the weirdos call you weird. Don't let people in darkness, who love the darkness, who call the darkness light, don't let them call you weird or persecute you. I guess they can. They can do whatever they want. Just stand up for the truth, for the light, in the light, in God, and in Jesus. Mike Slater dot locals dot com.
