Maybe all you need to know about Tim Walz is what church he goes to. All of his policies make sense after that.
Welcome to Politics by Faith, brought to you by the Patriot Gold Group. Thanks for being here. We've been talking a lot about Tim Walz the last couple of days, learning more about him. It's great that Kamala picked Tim Walz because Kamala's, I don't think she's tough to define, but she is a little more slippery because she's a senator. You can hide more when you're a senator and when you're vice president, you don't really do anything. And the media is, of course, covering for her. She's the border czar. No, she's not. She was never the border czar. Like, what are you talking about?
0:00:32
So they can lie about all that stuff. So it's harder to pin stuff on her. And we're like, hey, here's this clip of you saying you support mandatory buyback for all guns. Here's 10 clips of you saying that. And then a spokesperson comes out and says,
0:00:44
nope, she doesn't believe that anymore. And you're like, oh, well, what do we? And then also it's the spokesperson who says that. That way there's no clip of her saying she doesn't support it. So we can't put the side by side clips.
0:00:55
It's just gone. It just disappears because the spokesperson said it. So she's very good at that. That's why they call it chameleon, a chameleon comma. She could change all the time. Tim Walz is the easiest to define politician in the country.

He is as far left as they come and he's governor. So he signed the bills that put, he signed the bill that puts tampons in the boys' bathroom, starting in the fourth grade. For instance, very easy to define, and of course connect that with Kamala, because Kamala believes in all the exact same things. To tie it to faith, this might be the only thing you need to know about Tim Walz, honestly, is that he goes to an evangelical Lutheran Church of America church.
0:01:41
Now there's different names for different churches. Like there's an Evangelical Lutheran Church, ELC, but then there's ELCA, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. That's the one that is the furthest, I say that because I mentioned this on the Raider Day
0:01:59
and someone said, I go to a Lutheran church and we don't have drag queens. It's like, yeah, Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, isn't it? This is a church that is the furthest possible thing from Christianity you could ever imagine that still pretends to call itself a Christian church. They have drag queen story hour in the church. They have lesbian and transgender bishops.

It's basically a pride parade every Sunday. This is from their website. They read from the inclusive Bible translation. So I looked up what that is. This is from the intro. We not merely are about replacing male pronouns.

The translators have rethought what kind of language has built barriers between the text and its readers. They believe in anti-racism work, decentering whiteness, making reparations for race violence, LGBTQIA plus affirmation and making a safe space for people of all genders and orientations, gender equity and ensuring that the voices of women and non-binary, gender non-conforming individuals are amplified, a planet we can thrive in for many generations to come, including supporting efforts to uplift

to protect indigenous care of the land. You get it? This is the church that Tim Walls goes to. Now I want to play a clip here. This clip is not of the specific church he goes to. This is a the same denomination and I pronounce it Adina, and someone correct me, Adina, Adina, Minnesota. Here is their bishop.

We rise in body or spirit, and let us confess our faith today in the words of the Sparkle Creed.
0:03:45
I'm sorry, what? The Sparkle Creed.
0:03:53
I believe in the non-binary God whose pronouns are plural. I believe in Jesus Christ, their Child, who wore a fabulous tunic and had two dads and saw everyone as a sibling child of God. I believe in the rainbow spirit who shatters our image of one white light and refracts it into a rainbow of gorgeous diversity. I believe in the Church of Everyday

as numerous, creative, and resilient as patches on the ace quilt, whose feet are grounded in mud, and whose eyes gaze at the stars in wonder. I believe in the calling to each of us that love is love is love, so beloved, let us love.
0:04:45
I believe, glorious God, help my unbelief. Amen. Oh baby. So you can see the last line, the quote mark at the end there. So that's what gives it still like, oh we're still Christian. Oh man, where do you even start? Keep that in mind. Let's go to Psalm 69. This would be the ESV translation. Save me, O God, David says. Save me, O God.
0:05:18
And you might feel like this. I want to quote this psalm because you may feel like this right now. Save me, O God, for the waters have come up to my neck. I sink in deep mire where there is no standing. I've come into deep waters where the floods overflow me. I'm weary with my crying.
0:05:39
My throat is dry. My eyes fail while I wait for my God. God is a rock, but here we are sinking in the mire. Verse 16 Hear me, O Lord, for your lovingkindness is good. Turn to me according to the multitude of your tender mercies. And do not hide your face from your servant, for I am in trouble. Hear me speedily, draw near to my soul, and redeem it.
0:06:05
Deliver me because of my enemies." We talked on Monday about when you're in trauma like this, you can either run away from God or run to God. And here's David saying, redeem me, please. He's turning to God. Because only God can truly help.
0:06:22
He says, David says, I looked for someone to take pity, but there was none. And for comforters, but I found none. They also gave me gall for my food, and for my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink. Some help they are, right? But here's a great scripture to go next to this. Daniel 11.32

the devil, those who violate the covenant, but the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action. Love it. We need to know God and the only way to know God is to read the Bible. Knowledge increases your love. We cannot love a God we don't know. We can't love a Jesus we don't know. How do you know about God and Jesus? Read the Bible, read his word.
0:07:15
It's impossible to love God and Jesus if you don't know them. Most obvious point ever that needs to be said. Knowledge increases hope. You can't hope for something if you don't know it exists. Knowledge more relevant perhaps to this podcast because this is all about getting rid of anxiety, the genesis of this podcast.
0:07:35
Knowledge increases patience. Patience. We can't be patient if we don't know what's to come and that it's worth being patient for. And if you grow in your knowledge of God, you won't be deceived. or lies or tricks.
0:08:06
You won't be deceived by whatever that church denomination is spewing out, like Tim Walz intends. And you won't be deceived or tricked by political or cultural lies that are being thrown around all over us non-stop. Let us all dedicate ourselves to growing in our knowledge of God. Again Daniel 11 32, he shall seduce with flattery those who violate the covenant but the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action.
