Today we engage in a two-fold thought experiment. It is essential we really think this through, before it's too late.
Welcome to Politics by Faith, brought to you by the Patriot Gold Group. I want to go on a little thought experiment today, just a few days away from the election, five days away from the election, isn't that amazing? We're going to do this on the radio show tomorrow as well, but I want to do a twofold thought experiment here. The thought experiment is, what if Kamala wins?
Now hold on, that was too vague. You went into a million different places and that's fine. I wasn't specific enough. I don't want to think about cheating in the election. That's not for this conversation. And I don't mean what if Kamala wins as in like what will our country become in a hundred years or what will the next four years look like or even what the next week will look like after the election with the chaos that ensues, etc.
I don't mean that. I mean literally the night, the night of. Imagine the election results coming in and Rachel Maddow celebrating and all the rest and then they're so happy that Kamala is the next president of the United States. Imagine that right now. Now notice how you feel.
I think this is an important exercise because I want you to take that feeling and turn it into action. Because you don't like what you're feeling right now, do you? Good. We can avoid that from happening. She hasn't won yet, and there are still things you can do to make sure she doesn't win, so that that feeling you have never comes to fruition.
You with me? So it's important to feel, to imagine what that feeling will be next week, to motivate us to do the things now so that never happens. Let's back it up a second. What's your anxiety level right now with the election? Assuming you're a Trump supporter, I think your anxiety is proportional to how much you
think Trump's going to win or not. I think he'll win, so my anxiety is lower. My wife thinks they'll cheat and get away with it, so her anxiety is higher. I think they'll cheat too, but we'll see. It's hard to keep the anxiety down right now when we have such little time left, but I think one way to decrease anxiety in general, not just go exercise, although that's
good too, but find something that is in your control and act on that. So if you're anxious about something, usually it's because it's out of your control, what is there something that is in your control that you can use that nervous energy on for good? If you're anxious doing nothing and stewing in your anxiety, that's not going to help. So let's take whatever anxiety you have
and then in the thought experiment, whatever sadness or anger or whatever you feel, let's turn that into action. That's my call. TrumpForce47.com is the website if you want to engage in the Trump campaign or whatever your local office is
in whatever way. I was reading Psalm 95 this morning and it says, Oh come, let us sing to the Lord. Let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving. Let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise.
For the Lord is a great God and a great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth, the heights of the mountains are his also. The sea is his, for he made it. And his hands formed the dry land. Oh come let us worship a bow down Let us kneel before the Lord our maker for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand
Can you sing that praise no matter who wins next week? So this is thought experiment number two My goal is to be so connected with God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I can mourn, if Kamala wins, I can mourn, even if Trump wins, we still have a broken country, a lot of work to be done. So no matter what happens, I can mourn over the brokenness of the world and also know that my salvation is found in our Creator and it's rock solid.
I love Psalm 104. He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, And vegetation for the service of man, That he may bring forth food from the earth, And wine that makes glad the heart of man, Oil to make his face shine, Bread which strengthens man's heart. The trees of the Lord are full of sap, The cedars of Lebanon which he planted, Where the birds make their nests, The stork has her home in the fir trees,
The high hills are for the wild goats, The cliffs are a refuge for the rock badgers. The point is God provides in every way. He has created everything and He provides. Titus 2 Ecclesiastes yesterday we were talking about how God makes the the rivers flow into the ocean but the ocean isn't full. So God found out a way to, made a way, for the ocean water to turn into clouds then rain on the land so that we can have food or we can have water and grow food and God made it all work out perfectly.
God provides for us. God provides in every way and always will. The Israelites went through worse. Take good comfort in that as well. And the Psalm ends with this. I will sing to the Lord as long as I live.
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. May my meditation be sweet to Him. I will be glad in the Lord. It's not, I will sing to the Lord as long as my candidate wins. Or I will sing praise to my God while I'm happy. No, no, it's as long as I live and while I have my being.
And I pray that our meditations, even throughout this time of anxiety, can be sweet to Him. So the thought experiment's twofold. On the radio, I'm just going to keep it to the first one. Let's imagine Kamala winning, being pretty partisan in this podcast. Let's imagine Kamala winning, feel bad about that, and then turn that feeling into action to prevent the feeling from ever happening at all.
And the action has to be now, by the way, not next weekend. There is no next weekend. It's this weekend only. This is it. And then twofold for us. feel bad and then not have that rock your faith one bit. Mike Slater dot locals dot com. Transcript commercial free. Mike Slater dot locals dot com.
