Some people are terrified of Trump being president. It's our job to prove them wrong by doing what's right and good. We also need to help people see how hysterical the media has made them. If you have any additions to our "Trump Fear Master List" please send a tweet to Slaterradio.
Welcome to Politics by Faith, brought to you by the Patriot Gold Group. Thank you for being here. Today's show is fun on SiriusXM Patriot. Just very short of what we did, someone called in yesterday and said their son and daughter-in-law has TDS and he just wants some advice on how to help them. I happen to write a book on this called How to Change Someone's Mind.
It's $5. I think I get $1.22 or something every time you buy one. But someone called in with the advice of ask your family member, friend, co-worker to write out their fears. Literally write out what you're afraid of in a Trump presidency, what he will do. And then we had a teacher from Delaware call in and said, I actually did that with my students,
my high school students. And they wrote out, you know, Trump's going to ban all contraception or whatever. Actually got to add that one to the list. Anyway, so we did it on the radio today. I said, all right, call in. I don't think I wrote this one down. Yeah, right down. A band contraception. And, um,
people called in with their friends, family, coworkers, what they've heard about, uh, what they're scared about with Trump. And I mean, it's crazy. Like they're, someone called and said their gay stepson says that Trump's going to go after gay rights. I don't even know what that means. Trump is going to track menstrual cycles.
There's going to be more school shootings, more pregnancy deaths, more people dying from curable diseases, more white cops killing black people, Muslims and Latinos dying in deportation camps, the elimination of the constitution, no more voting, eliminate social security. My grown daughter believes she won't be able to access her bank account or open a new one without her husband's signature.
Dictator on day one. So the reason you write these out because it's just good for you to get it out of your head. But also we can come back, well on day two we can come back and be like, well he's not a dictator on day one, so that one's not true. But we can come back six months, a year, two years later, four years later and say, hey listen, you were made hysterical. Let's see if any of these things came true. Okay?
And then when none of them did, hopefully they realized that they were made hysterical by the media. And then scales can fall from the rise. So that was fun and important and I'm putting together this list
and I'll send it over to the guys at Breitbart and maybe they'll put it up on the website there and we can keep adding to their fears and we will prove them wrong. So today I wanna talk about Isaiah 49 15. Can a woman forget her nursing child and not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Surely they may forget. Hold on. A woman would forget to take care of her child? They may. But God says, Yet I will not forget you.
Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands. The point here is as much as a new mom wants to take care of and love her newborn baby. God loves you more. God is saying that he has you inscribed on the palms of his hands. When I first read this you can think that it's like someone has God written on their hands. No, no, no. God has you on his. Two points here. This is a permanent remembrance. I say that the King James
Version, I think it speaks more to this permanence. It says, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands. I've graven you. So it speaks to a permanency and it speaks to an intimacy. You're carved on his hands. His loving, tender, caring hands. And the point of this section is that even when things look tough, God has not forgotten the Israelites and his plan for them has never changed. God keeps his promises and it's a foreshadowing I believe to Jesus and the nails that went through his
hands for you when after the resurrection he said look at my hands but one of my favorite aspects of this and this just drives it home even more, and I didn't pick up on it, of course Spurgeon did. Notice the scripture doesn't say, God doesn't say, I have engraved your name on my hand. And that'd be nice. Mike Slater, there it is right there.
No, it says, I have inscribed your person, your image, your case, your circumstances, your sins, your temptations, your weaknesses, your wants, your works. I have graven thee, everything about you, all that concerns you. I have put every bit of you right there in my hands. If that is true, and it is, can you ever again say that your God has forsaken you? How can you ever think that when it says here that He has engraved you, everything about you, all of you, the fullness of you, on His hands? We've got to stop worrying about on his hands.
We got to stop worrying about things.
I'll give you a political one, but you know, there's more of these in your life than this one. I think we made the point the other day that it is better that Trump be the president now than in 2020. In 2020, he didn't have the Democrats at the House and the Senate. And Mike Pence was the vice president, and there were a
bunch of like Mike Kellys in his administration. And now Trump will have the House and the Senate for Republican control, and JD Vance has been swapped out for Mike Pence, or Mike Pence has been swapped out in for JD,
and all the deep state guys are gone. It's a totally way, way better scenario now, actually. And you have better examples in your life of something that happened and it seemed terrible. Maybe it was terrible and you didn't know why. And years go by, decades can go by.
And you're like, oh, oh yeah, oh, okay. Like we need to never forget those moments because it helps us realize, oh yeah, he, I, I am engraved in his loving hands. We need to stop worrying about things. in His loving hands.
We need to stop worrying about things. That doesn't mean we'd stop caring. Doesn't mean we'd stop engaging. Just stop worrying. And we can say that with great confidence because the Scriptures say,
don't worry. Let all of this be another reminder that God is in control and loves you. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Mike Slater dot locals dot com I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Mike Slater dot locals dot com transcript and no commercials on the website Mike Slater dot locals dot com
