The Bible is very clear that we should pray for everyone in authority. Also, we would all rather have this victory in 2024 than to have Trump won reelection in 2020. May this be a reminder that we should always trust God's ways.
Welcome to Politics by Faith. Thank you for being here. What an amazing day it is, this inauguration day. First, sorry, I've been gone. I've been filling in for the President's Daily Brief Podcast. And this weekend, Thursday, I left for my men's Bible group.
I joined this group 13 years ago, a little more than that, 13 years. And we met every Wednesday for all those years until I moved away, and a couple other guys moved away, but we all get back together once a year. So this is our retreat weekend, and it was wonderful. If I could just pray for something real quick,
or just glorify God for something quick. One of my buddies, his fourth boy, his fourth kid, three girls and the boy, now number four, three doctors, three pediatricians, was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Three. 16 months old, couldn't crawl and in no time started crawling and walking and now no signs of
cerebral palsy. Praise God, God answers prayers. Today, of course, we have to praise God for Donald Trump and for the inauguration and here's my one message for today. Pray for Donald Trump. Pray for him and his family. For JD and his family. For everyone in the administration. For everyone in the government. People whose names we don't know and will never know and faces we'll never know. Pray for everyone. Pray for all the leaders in our government. We should have been praying for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris too.
We should have been praying for everyone in our government last week. And we should be praying for Trump and this group of leaders as well. From Trump's inaugural speech, he said just a few months ago, in a beautiful Pennsylvania field an assassin's bullet ripped through my ear. But I felt then and believe even more so now that my life was saved for a reason. I was saved by God to make America great again. That is why each day
under our administration of American Patriots we will be working to meet every crisis with dignity and power and strength. We will move with purpose and speed to bring back hope, prosperity, safety, and peace for citizens of every race, religion, color, and creed. For American citizens, January 20th, 2025 is Liberation Day. That bullet hitting Trump in the head, it's one of the most amazing things that we'll ever see in our life.
Not only hitting him in the head and missing him by just a millimeter, slight turn of the head, but then Trump standing up and putting his fist in the air to the crowd and saying, fight, fight, fight. We'll never see anything like that again. Absolutely incredible. And there's no question that God protected Donald Trump that day.
And I pray that Donald Trump uses this second chance of life to glorify God in everything he does and the role that he has right now as President of the United States. This is a little bit of the prayer of Franklin Graham at the inauguration. Understanding, our father today, as President Donald J. Trump takes the oath of office once again, we come to say thank you, oh Lord, our God. Father, when Donald Trump's enemies thought he was down and out, you and you alone saved
his life and raised him up with strength and power by your mighty hand. We pray for President Trump that you'll watch over, protect, guide, direct him, give him your wisdom from your throne on high. We ask that you would bless him and that our nation would be blessed through him.
We all - Let me just that's a nice moment. I should just stop there, but.
Let me play this beginning part. This is before he started to pray. Now, keep in mind, this is inside the rotunda and Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are maybe three feet next to him. Mr. President, the last four years, there are times I'm sure you thought it was pretty dark. But look what God has done. We praise him and give him glory. Kamala's standing right there. Kamala's like, what are you talking about, man?
Alright, alright, back to the point. There's no question that getting shot in the head changed Donald Trump, and I believe will change our nation. Thank you, God.
So, we should pray for our leaders. This is as clear as day. No need for any in-depth analysis. We'll keep it simple. 1 Timothy 2, 1 says, first of all, Then I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead
a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of the Lord, our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. God, please protect our leaders. Make them wise.
Make them look to you first, and to glorify you in all they do, so that we can be kept safe and live quiet, peaceful, and godly lives. God told the Israelites in exile to pray for Babylon. Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile.
Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper. That's God telling the Israelites to pray while in exile. It's Jeremiah 29.7. Romans 13.1 says, Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established.
The authorities that exist have been established by God. That is an incredible line. Let me make this point. What Trump is going to do in 2024 is so much more and so much better than what he would have done if he won the election in 2020. And if you go back to 2020 and just politically if you supported Trump and how upset you were by that and maybe how unjust you thought
it was even cheating or whatever, everyone would rather now that we know a little bit more of the story, we would rather have Trump lose in 2020. We would rather have it go exactly like it went down in 2020 in exchange for what we're having, what we're witnessing right now, what we're living in right now 2024 Every single person would make that trade We didn't know at the time. We didn't know in 2020. What was gonna happen in 2024?
We didn't know for we didn't know how could we? But God knew God knows all of it knows everything How are you praying for Donald Trump and for our government and for our country. I'd love to know what you're doing. Slater Radio is on Twitter and Instagram, Slater Radio.

that'd be nice. Start with protection, God's wisdom, courage, strength to do what's right, stand up for the truth. What else you got?
